“Impressed by Icarus, who dared to fly too close to the solar on wings of feathers and wax. If he was in love with the solar, then this may as properly be a narrative of forbidden love.” That is how the writer himself explains the illustrated story of Icarus and the Solar.
Gabriel Picolo from Brazil is the artist behind this lovely but heartbreaking story about love, hearth, and loss. He's a standard and digital illustrator who began gaining traction in 2014 when his 365 days venture of drawing day by day gained some loyal followers.
“For my drawings, I take inspiration from Studio Ghibli, Disney, video video games amongst different stuff,” the artist wrote on his Patreon. “I really like to attract one thing that's relatable to me and different individuals as properly.”
The illustrated story of Icarus and the Solar is impressed by a well-known delusion of a person who died by flying too near the burning solar together with his wings, made out of feathers and wax. Gabriel’s interpretation is gorgeous, distinctive and heartbreaking all on the similar time.
